How I Got Started
Hello! I'm Ally and I'm a self-taught artist and printmaker based in NC, USA.
I started creating linocut prints in November 2022. My craft started from a very simple idea to carve a tiny logo to use in my art journal for day to day use. From there, I experienced a rush of creative ideas for creating my own block prints. It was shortly after I created my first few rubber blocks that I decided to participate in local markets and open an Etsy shop to share my art with the world.

From an early age I've had a deep love of folklore and magical things. Escaping into a fantasy world through books, movies, and videogames has been my outlet for as long as I can remember and combining that with my love for creating art has been the most fulfilling experience for me.
So what's with the eggs? I love eggs! Egg bagels (with cheese and avocado please), deviled eggs, poached eggs, fried eggs--all the eggs! I just thought "Eggdrop" was cute and it stuck!
What is Linocut, anyway?
Linocut is a printmaking technique where an artist carves a design into a sheet of linoleum, rolls ink onto the raised (uncarved) areas, and presses it onto paper to create an image. It’s valued for its bold lines, strong contrasts, and handcrafted texture.
As a lifelong avid collector of art prints myself, linocut is my preferred medium because I can reproduce my handdrawn designs over and over, but in a very organic way so each print truly feels like an original work of art.
